Mike Hansen on March 21 came roaring back from fourth place in qualifying to win his 16th Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Association title. He defeated in order, Spencer Ludwig (187-175), Warren Cox (242-218), and Nick Bachteler (234-229) and then in the TV Finale he took care of top qualifier, Tim Clemens (212-168) to capture the championship of the Designs Unlimited Open at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.
Mike Green, the second-place qualifier in the Miller Chiropractic 205 and under Division, knocked off Craig Wilkey (243-168) and top qualifier Aaron Kielbasa (215-172) to win the title. It was Green’s first KSBO singles crown.
The last KSBO tournament of the bowling season is the Non-Champs/Champs event sponsored by Don Holtz, realtor and Talbot Excavating. It will be held at All Star Lanes in Silverdale on April 11.
This is actually two tournaments in one. If you do not have an individual open singles title then you may bowl the non-champions event.
The champions will bowl their own tournament at the same time. The two champions will then bowl off in the King of the Hill match to see who is the overall champion.
