Central Kitsap junior Cameron Carroll made it three wins when the second day of the Narrows League 3A meet was held Saturday in Shelton. Carroll had won the 400 and 1600 on Thursday and came back Saturday to take the 800 with a time of 1:55.35.
Sara Naumann, sophomore from CK, claimed the 800 on the girl’s side, winning in 2:27.78. Teammate Starr Rodenhurst won the javelin (119-11), Keyera Gaulden, a CK senior, added the 200 to her 100 win on Thursday, winning in 26.43, and CK sophomore Emily Carlson won the high jump at 4-10.
The CK 1600 relay team of Gaulden Molly Fischer, Mya King and Naumann won in 4:05.12.
South Kitsap got another win from Mason Villarma, who established the school record in the 1600 on Thursday with a time of 4:12.44. He won the 800 on Saturday with a time of 1:53.48.
Also winning for SK was senior Shannon Laupola with a toss of 125-08 in the javelin and junior Albert MacArthur, who won the long jump (22-01) on Thursday and doubled up by taking the triple jump at 45-06.25.
Central Kitsap’s girls’ team won with 160 points and the CK boys placed second with 125 points (Lincoln won with 127). South Kitsap’s boys finished second to Olympia (124-117) and the SK girl’s placed tied for fourth with Yelm with 71 points.
