TERRY MOSHER
Back to the Boneyard I go. My mind is swelling up with so much stuff that I have to unload here before I go sane.
Trump making like Sherman as he burned his way south from Atlanta in 1864 is blowing me away. Never in history of politics have we seen such a dark candidate lie and burn like this. He is truly the Prince of Darkness. He even tonight said the NFL concussion protocol is “soft.” Man this ugly rant from an evil man is getting me down. He will stop at nothing.
Even the Russians have joined in with Don the Con, casting doubt on our election system and feeding Wikileaks hacked information on Hillary Clinton. One propaganda “mouth of the Kremlin” even suggested that if Clinton wins the world will be blown up with a third world war led by Russia and its nuclear bombs.
Now that more women are coming forward and telling about the sexual abuse they received from Trump, Don the Con man has promised to unload on the Clintons – Bill and Hillary – with a number of new women that they say Bill abused.
Man, isn’t this fun?
What happened to civility? What happened to candidates talking about the issues that are so important to us citizens? Now you understand why I am in the Boneyard.
Can you imagine as I have what our country would be like if Don the Con is elected president? There are no laws and no constitution that would hinder him from rolling over his enemies. He’s already promised to jail Clinton if he is elected. And I have no doubt in my sane mind that he would follow through. I would imagine he would jail Barack Obama too. Me? I would just be killed. This is perfectly fine with me. I couldn’t live under a Trump presidency. And I can bet that when the dust is all settled, you will wish the same.
There is some evidence that Trump is in bed with the Russians financially and will do whatever Putin will want done once he’s elected. You can kiss NATO goodbye. You can kiss all of Eastern Europe goodbye. You can kiss the entire Middle East goodbye. And that includes all the oil.
If you survive what America will look like under Trump, you had better learn some Russian. And you better learn how to salute Trump with a raised hand. Or else.
I pity the blacks and Hispanics and Muslins and other minorities. They will be jailed, run out of the country, or killed off. Or maybe will be forced laborers building some of Trumps new buildings, probably in Russia and captured Eastern Europe.
Women will be classified as second-class citizens at best. You already know how he will treat you. He will treat you just the way he’s always treated you. You might wish you were dead, I will guess.
Isn’t all of this sweet news? You haters of Clinton won’t know what hit you when Trump gets done with you. You are just fodder for his dreams. He inspires you to follow him with your matches, ready to set fire to everything you see and when he’s done with you, see you later.
Once Trump dies – and he will, thank God – you who survive will then have the siblings as rulers. And they will be just as miserable as their dad. They didn’t fall far from the Conman.
Am I wrong about all of this?
No. Just do the research. Just listen to this madman. If you still love the guy, good luck Charlie Brown. You are as bad as he is.
Now I’m on to something else, although nothing else matters in the long run. People are falling in love with the Washington Huskies football. The Huskies are ranked as the No. 5 NCAA D-1 team in the nation, and I wonder if they really are.
I believe Alabama and Ohio State are co-No. 1s. They are a big cut above the rest. Michigan, Clemson and Louisville are probably next in line, and I would suggest Michigan is three, Louisville is four and Clemson five, although as you know Clemson has already beaten Louisville. But I just think Louisville with its quarterback Lamar Jackson would win seven or eight times if they played 10 games.
I’m not sure where I would put Washington. Texas &Am and Wisconsin might be better. Then there is Nebraska. I would put the Cornhuskers in a tie with Washington probably at No. 8.
But let’s look at these Huskies a little closer. They beat Rutgers, Idaho and Portland State and then had to go overtime to subdue Arizona before demolishing Stanford and Oregon for their 6-0 record.
Rutgers is 2-4 and has been beaten in successive weeks by Ohio State 58-0 and Michigan 78-0 (you think Jim Harbaugh rubbed it in a little bit? Mmmm).
Idaho is 3-3. The Vandals lost to the Huskies 59-14 and Washington State 56-6.
Portland State is 2-4 and one win was 43-26 over Central Washington.
Arizona is 2-3 and is on a three-game losing streak that started with that overtime loss to Washington, 35-28. But get his. The Wildcats lost to UCLA 45-24 and Utah 36-23. UCLA is 3-3 and lost to Stanford 22-13.
Utah looks to be the real deal. The Utes are 5-1, its only loss 28-23 to California.
Stanford is 3-2, but has lost its last two – to Washington 44-6 and Washington State 42-16 – and don’t look like the Stanford teams of the past.
Oregon is not the Oregon of the past decade. These Ducks are 2-4 and are on a four-game losing streak. Their last two losses were embarrassing, 51-33 to Washington State and 70-21 to the Huskies.
So the combined record of the six teams the Huskies have beaten is a mediocre 14-20. I don’t think we will understand where the Huskies really stand until games seven and eight (they played Oregon State at home Saturday and that should be a fairly easy victory). They play at Utah in game seven (Oct. 2) and at California for game eight (Nov. 5) and those two games should tell us everything we need to know.
What I am hoping, and you are too, is that the Huskies stay unbeaten when they go to Pullman for a Nov. 25 game against Washington State. If the Cougars continue to win that should be for all the Pac-12 North marbles. Now, wouldn’t that be something?
My point in all of this is that for me it’s too early to jump on the bandwagon. I covered the Huskies for nearly 30 years for the Kitsap Sun, including all of the Don James era, and I would like nothing better than to have that Apple Cup game mean something.
So we will see.
But right now the road to Pullman has a few pot holes that the Huskies have to overcome before I’m ready to say they are a playoff team (top four in the country).
As for the Seahawks, they have to prove themselves to me, also. They are 3-1 but their three victories have come against teams that are a combined 3-12. We will know better after Sunday’s game at Century-link when the Atlanta Falcons come to town (actually they have been in town this week preparing at Husky Stadium). The Falcons are a surprising 4-1, having knocked off this year’s Super Bowl teams, Carolina and Denver, in the last two games and are primed to give the Seahawks all they can handle.
So we will see.
As for the Mariners, they played as well as one could expect with a new regime both in the front office and on the field. They were let down some by inconsistency from their starting pitching. The King – Felix Hernandez – was hurt early and it showed this season when he struggled at times. I think his arm is used up and he’s no longer an ace.
But we will see.
They need help at shortstop and then figure out first base. I’m not sold at catcher, either. And solidify the two corner spots. And you can always make the bullpen better, although they have some good young arms that throw hard.
So we will see.
In the meantime, I hope the Cubs end their 108-year World Series championship drought.
As for the race for the White House, I pray to God that He stops Don The Con. That would be the end of things as we know them if Don The Con gets elected.
I dislike to end this that way, but it’s the most important presidential election in our history and you need to get out and vote against the Conman.
Be well pal.
Be careful out there.
Have a great day.
You are loved.
