Puffin Muffin, a team consisting of Charlie Lynch, Bob Zurbrugg, Stu McMaster and Jeremy Sears, jumped up in the last of eight games bowled and won the 14th annual Quad Swiss Kitsap scratch Bowlers Organization’s Tournament that was sponsored by Hi-Joy Bowl/Party Foul Productions and held at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.
The Puffin Muffin team overcame #3On 1 team in that last game to give Sears his seventh KSBO title, Lynch’s fourth and the third for Zurbrugg and McMaster.
A total of 23 teams showed up for the tournament with the 3 Rights One Wrong team taking the high game out of the money with an 812. Rodney Goodwin led the way for the team with a 258. He was followed by teammates Jason Flynn (224), Louie Lazzarini (177) and Jazmine Clewis (153).
Cameron Kerlee took the high score for the eight-game tournament with an 1893 that was largely based on two 300 games he rolled. Lisa Barfield was the high score for the women with a 1796.
Next up for KSBO is the 37th annual doubles tournament sponsored by Lakeside Industries at Hi-Joy Bowl on Dec. 7. This tournament is the annual Toys for Tots. In 34 years, the tournament has raised $19,018 for the program.
